Alex Moriarty, Principal
Alex is a highly experienced corporate lawyer and commercial litigator, who is known for his ability to handle any complex or sensitive commercial transaction or dispute. He has two decades of experience of providing advice to multinationals, listed and unlisted companies, state and federal governments on every aspect of their legal and commercial endeavours.
Sarina Eggers, Partner
Sarina formerly worked across various top-tier law firms, tertiary education providers and leading technology companies and is highly experienced in complex corporate and commercial law matters as well as IP and technology law. Sarina is the co-founder and managing director of Business Kitz.
Simon Quirk, Senior Solicitor
Simon Quirk is a commercial and corporate lawyer specialising in early-stage business, financing and private M&A. Simon brings together his blue-chip legal background with experience of advising leading organisations and starting and growing his own businesses. Simon co-founded VidVersity and helped found Settle Easy, Fourth Line, Argos and Strategy Fusion. Simon designs and delivers strategic planning for professional services, financial services and leading corporates, government and SMEs across a number of industries to help adopt the mindset and approach of start-ups and industry disruptors.
Madeleine Boothe, Lawyer
Madeleine is a commercial associate with over 8 years of experience working with entrepreneurs and technology companies and 5+ years as a commercial associate lawyer, advising a large number of international clients on how to navigate corporate and commercial legal issues. Admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2017, Madeleine has since managed a large portfolio of recurring clients, providing legal and strategic commercial advice, and has drafted hundreds of commercial agreements. Previously a Programmes, Community and Communications Manager at Fishburners, Madeleine currently works with a number of entrepreneurs and tech startup/scaleup clients from Silicon Valley, the UK and Australia.
Tanya Bali, Law Graduate/Trainee In-House Legal Counsel at Business Kitz
Tanya had over 7 years’ work experience before joining Legal Kitz, quickly progressing to a Senior Paralegal, and now a Law Graduate following the completion of a Bachelor of Laws at Griffith University. Tanya is also the Director and owner of Brisbane Fashion Week. Tanya is experienced in assisting employment law/litigation, corporate and commercial law and complex tech/IP agreements and advice. Tanya has completed her Practical Legal Training and is preparing to be admitted to the legal practice in 2023.
Alyssa Chorlton, Paralegal
Alyssa is studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business majoring in Behavioural Science at Griffith University and is due to graduate in 2024. Alyssa assists in drafting commercial agreements and advising clients on legal matters pertaining to employment, commercial, and IP and technology law. Working at both Legal Kitz and Business Kitz, Alyssa has a strong interest in employment and commercial law and understands the importance of high-quality agreements in reducing potential disputes.
Victoria Gauthier, Administrative Support Specialist/Operations Manager at Business Kitz
Victoria graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Justice in early 2021. During her degree, she majored in criminology with a minor in governance and studied various courses in law. Victoria currently works as an administrative assistant at Legal Kitz. Victoria assists the legal team with research, administration, and correspondence for general corporate, commercial, and employment law matters. Victoria completes document review procedures as well as checking for Fair Work compliance across Business Kitz’ product offering.
